Aaron Sorenson

Aaron manages internal communications for BYU. He is the point of contact for campus announcements and events and publishes two award-winning newsletters: Y News and the Student Email.  

Before joining the University Communications staff at BYU in 2019, Aaron worked in communications at Nike’s world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, for almost five years. Prior to his time at Nike, Aaron worked in media relations in BYU’s Athletic Communications department, focusing mainly on the football and gymnastics teams. As a student, he spent a year as an intern in the same office. Aaron earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from BYU in 2013.

A Utah native, Aaron served in the Washington Kennewick mission from 2006-2008 and is the father of three children.
