US Army (Ret), Command Historian at the United States Military Academy at West Point will deliever a lecture on "World War 1: The Great War that Changed the World." Fleek's address coincides with an exhibit in the Harold B. Lee Library's Special Collections called The Great War: A Centennial Remembrance.

During his remarks, Fleek will address the political causes of the war, as well as the tangled relations of Europe’s contemporary rulers. He will discuss life in the trenches, as well as the technological advances that changed modern warfare forever. In addition to this overall profile of the war, Fleek will tie in the perspective of LDS involvement in the conflict.

“Fleek has done so much to amplify the voices of saints at war," said Bob Freeman, a BYU religion professor at BYU, who has know Fleek for more than two decades. "Not only has Lt. Colonel Fleek been heavily involved in the U.S. Army as a historian, but he’s also a great contributor to the Latter-Day Saint community, publishing and presenting on the history of Mormon soldiers and their families.”
