Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints offered the dedicatory prayer at this morning's Music Building dedication ceremony. Elder Clark G. Gilbert, Commissioner of the Church Educational System and General Authority Seventy, accompanied and introduced Elder Christofferson.

Elder Christofferson and President C. Shane Reese offered remarks about the new facility, the people who helped make it possible and the students who will be blessed by it.
“I'm proud of the reputation and accomplishments of music students at BYU," Elder Christofferson said. "I believe that this new facility and all that it provides will build upon that remarkable past.”

In his Second Century address,
Additionally, a choral chamber ensemble performed “Nuper Rosarum Flores” and the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra played “Symphony No. 3, ‘Organ Symphony’: Finale.”
