The BYU Department of Dance presents BYU dancEnsemble, A Mobile Excursion, Nov. 11-12 in the Dance Studio Theatre of the Richards Building.

Tickets are $6 and can be purchased in person at the BYU Ticket Office in the Harris Fine Arts Center or Marriott Center, by phone at 801-422- 2981 or online at byuarts.com.

This season’s dancEnsemble features a re-imagining of the theatre space as a series of site-specific environments. The unforgettable journey brings the unfamiliar to the familiar; brought to life by 33 dancers and 5 live musicians.

“A Mobile Excursion is an evening-length collaboration between dance, visual art, live music, the venue, and the audience,” said Graham Brown, artistic director. “The work plays with viewpoints and perspectives through a re-imagining of the Dance Studio Theatre and surrounding areas, experienced as a series of site-specific environments—in the balcony, through the window, behind the curtain, and more.”

Audiences will be walking, standing and may be separated from their party for parts of the show. As such, for parts of the show seating will not be provided. All accommodations possible will be made for people with specific physical needs. Please contact the BYU Ticket Office with special requests: (801) 422-2981. Approximate running time is one hour.
