In the HBLL's Special Collections exhibit area there is a Lego exhibition with a uniquely gospel tie. From Lego recreations of paintings of the Savior to model replicas of iconic LDS temples, “Brick upon Brick: Creativity in the Making” is an exhibit like no other.

Rick Anderson named university librarian at BYU

Brigham Young University Academic Vice President Shane Reese has announced the appointment of Rick Anderson as university librarian at the Harold B. Lee Library. He succeeds Brian Rennick who has been interim university librarian since December 2019 following the passing of university librarian Jennifer Paustenbaugh in November.

BYU Curators Help Digitize Scout Archive

In the late 1800s, Robert Baden-Powell—a war hero, adventurer, actor and sometimes a spy—sat down with a pencil and paper and wrote out his idea of “scouting for boys.” That document, along with hundreds of others that show the worldwide development of scouting for girls and boys, is safely stored in the Scout Association Archive in Gilwell Park, England. For years, anyone wanting to research the origins and history of scouting needed to travel to the archive and work with the archivists.
