University Orchestra, Strings featured in March 29 concert at BYU

The University Orchestra and University Strings will perform with graduate students conducting Tuesday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall at Brigham Young University.

Admission is free and open to the public.

The two orchestras will perform together during the concert. Pieces they will perform include the Concerto Grosso by Vittorio Gianni, "Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis" by Ralph Vaughn Williams and the Slavonic Dance, Op. 46, no. 1 by Antonin Dvorak.

Graduate students working on master's degrees in instrumental conducting will conduct the concert as partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree.

Students conducting the orchestras include Seretta Hart, Kayson Brown, Rebecca Roesler and Brandon Matthews.
