University Chorale ends winter semester concerts April 14

Brigham Young University’s non-auditioned University Chorale will perform in concert Saturday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Tickets cost $3 a seat at byuarts.com/tickets.

University Chorale is co-directed by Leland Spindler and Mariah Wilson and accompanied by pianist Monica Hymas Rasmussen. The choir will be performing a variety of numbers from different musical eras ranging from “Canite tuba” by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina to “Tonight” from “West Side Story" by Leonard Bernstein.

BYU’s space ace: Minor planet named in honor of Jani Radebaugh

BYU planetary geology professor Jani Radebaugh’s contributions to planetary science have reached cosmic proportions as she recently received the prestigious honor of having a minor planet named her. The asteroid, previously known as “45690,” now bears the name “45690janiradebaugh” on official NASA/JPL websites.
