A traditional Japanese Bunraku puppet troupe will perform Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Nelke Experimental Theatre of the Harris Fine Arts Center. The performance is free and the public is welcome to attend.

The Tonda Traditional Bunraku Puppet Troupe will perform four famous pieces from the traditional Bunraku puppet repertoire. The troupe, headed up by seventh-generation puppeteer Hidehiko Abe, is one of the most active traditional troupes in Japan, offering more than 30 performances a year.
