Professional Performing Arts at BYU present the Royal Ballet of Cambodia with a performance of Khmer classical dance choreographed by her Royal Highness Princess Norodom Buppha Devi. The Royal Ballet of Cambodia is listed by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Renowned for graceful hand gestures, stunning costumes and live music, the Royal Ballet of Cambodia has been closely associated with the Khmer court for more than a thousand years, narrowly escaping annihilation in the 1970s.

Infused with a sacred and symbolic role, the dance embodies the traditional values of refinement, respect and spirituality. This performance gives patrons a rare opportunity to experience this unique art form, performed at BYU with live music.

The performance is part of the Global Roots line of BRAVO! concert series performances, which plays host to many world-renowned artists groups from across the globe.
