The BYU School of Music presents the Symphony Orchestra in concert on Wednesday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m., in the de Jong Concert Hall of the Harris Fine Arts Center.

With Jeffrey Shumway accompanying on the piano, this February concert will feature songs including “Russian Sailor’s Dance” by Reinhold Glière, Piano Concerto No. 27 in B-flat Major, K. 595 by Wolfgang Mozart, “Sarabande: For Katharine in April” by Ron Nelson and “Polovetsian Dances” by Alexander Borodin
The Symphony Orchestra is the preparatory orchestra in the School of Music conducted by Professor Christian Smith and consists of approximately 85 members. With concert repertoire chosen from every period, the orchestra provides a foundation for more advanced symphonic playing.
