Rory Scanlon to deliver BYU devotional address Jan. 22

Rory Scanlon, associate dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communications at Brigham Young University, will deliver the devotional address on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center.

The devotional will be presented live on BYU Television, KBYU TV, KBYU FM and byubroadcasting.org. For rebroadcast information, visit byubroadcasting.org.

Before he was appointed associate dean on May 1, 2004, Scanlon was a professor of theatre and media arts at BYU. He has worked as a set and costume designer for dozens of productions both on and off campus, including the Hill Cumorah Pageant for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Scanlon completed his bachelor’s degree in theatre at both Idaho State University and BYU. He received his master of fine arts degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1984 before joining the BYU faculty.
