Brigham Young University Religious Education is seeking proposals for the 39th annual Sydney B. Sperry Symposium on the Scriptures scheduled for October 2010.

Proposed research is expected to make an original contribution to understanding the Sermon on the Mount in the scriptures of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Please include the following in the heading of the proposal: name, occupation, address, phone number, e-mail address and a working title. Proposals must be submitted electronically as an attached Word, WordPerfect or PDF document to patty_smith@byu.edu by April 27.

Submitters will be notified of their proposal’s status by June 1, after which final drafts ranging from 15-25 pages will be due Oct. 5.
