“Princess O’Rourke” with Olivia de Havilland to be screened at BYU Feb. 10

The Brigham Young University Motion Picture Archive Film Series will screen the 1943 romantic comedy “Princess O’Rourke” Friday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. in the library auditorium on the first level.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., the movie runs for 93 minutes, and the event is free.

“Princess O’Rourke” stars Olivia de Havilland, Robert Cummings, Charles Coburn, Jack Carson and Jane Wyman. The enchanting de Havilland is a European princess who, on a visit to America, decides she wants to live a normal life and falls for an airline pilot who is unaware of her royal status.

The film print featured in the library's print advertising was the personal copy of Robert Cummings, whose papers are housed in BYU's L. Tom Perry Special Collections.
