Phi Kappa Phi fall meeting Nov. 15 will feature address by Grant R. McQueen

On Thursday, Nov. 15, the Brigham Young University chapter of the National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi will hold its fall meeting featuring an address by the society’s 2006-2007 Honored Faculty Lecturer, Grant R. McQueen.

McQueen will discuss “Publishing at BYU” during the meeting, which will be held at 11 a.m. in 1104 Joseph Knight Building. All faculty and students, especially members of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Eta Sigma, are invited to attend.

McQueen is a faculty member in BYU’s Marriott School of Management, where he teaches corporate finance to first-year MBA students and directs the MBA finance major. He has published research articles in many prominent business journals and has received several awards from the Marriott School, including the 1997 Faculty Research Award, the 2003 Outstanding Faculty Award and the 2006 MBA Professor of the Year Award.

He also serves on the BYU Faculty Advisory Committee, where he has helped shape the undergraduate management core, the undergraduate finance emphasis core, the EMBA curriculum, the MBA finance major and the Marriott School’s statement on diversity.
