The National Alliance on Mental Illness-Utah recently honored a Brigham Young University English professor and his wife with its Outstanding Family Members award.
Jay Fox and his wife, Dawn Webb Fox, have been NAMI volunteers for 15 years and have trained more than 100 teachers to assist families of those who suffer from mental illness. In past years, Jay served on the NAMI Utah state board and as president of its Utah County affiliate. He is also a former member and chair of the Utah State Board of Mental Health.
NAMI has more than 220,000 members nationwide and helps those with mental illness and their families through education, support and advocacy.
