Kuwaiti Ambassador to the United States to speak at BYU Feb. 10

Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwaiti Ambassador to the United States, will share his ambassadorial insights at an Area Focus Lecture at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, in 250 Spencer W. Kimball Tower.

Al-Sabah, who was appointed ambassador in June 2001, also served in 1998 as ambassador to Korea and first secretary to the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations.

From 1986 to 1991, he was the diplomatic attache for the Office of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in Kuwait.

Al-Sabah received his bachelor's and master's degrees in political science from the American University of Beirut.
