Kristen Bromley to Perform for Faculty Recital on Oct. 26th

BYU School of Music faculty member Kristen Bromley presents a jazz guitar trio recital Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall of the Harris Fine Arts Center. Admission to the performance is free and the public is welcome to attend.
Bromley is accompanied on the bass by Eric Hansen and by Mitch Lee on drums. The trio will perform original pieces by Bromley. “We will cover a wide range of styles and traditions including: traditional swing, samba, fusion, blues, funk and even a couple hymns,” said Bromley. “The show should be a lot of fun.”
Bromley joined the BYU School of Music faculty in the summer of 2012. She currently teaches guitar and jazz courses, lessons, and ensembles. She has toured as a musician across portions of North America and Europe, has worked in the recording studio and is the author of several guitar method books.
Grammy Award-winning and multiplatinum-selling singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat will be the featured guest for BYU Spectacular! She will be joined by singer-songwriter and American Idol standout David Archuleta.
