Jaren Hinckley to Perform for Faculty Recital Sept. 30

BYU School of Music professor Jaren Hinckley presents a clarinet recital Friday, September 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall of the Harris Fine Arts Center. Admission to the performance is free and the public is welcome to attend.

Hinckley is accompanied on the piano by his brother-in-law, software designer Vince Humphries. Among the pieces the duo will perform are Three Etudes on Themes of Gershwin composed by Paul Harvey and Fountains of Siena, composed by Hinckley.

Hinckley and Humphries collaborated for the 2012 album titled Jaren Hinckley: Jazz-Influenced Classical Works for Clarinet released by BYU recording label Tantara Records.
