Guest Artist Michael Schütze and BYU School of Music’s Robert Brandt to Perform for Vocal Recital

The BYU School of Music presents a vocal recital on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall of the Harris Fine Arts Center. Admission to the event is free.

The recital features BYU music professor Robert Brandt singing baritone, accompanied by guest artist Michael Schütze on the piano. The program includes songs by Robert Schumann (1810-1856), and poetic works by Joseph von Eichendorff (1788-1857) and Heinrich Heine (1797-1856).

Guest artist Michael Schütze has taught as a professor of accompaniment/song interpretation at the Academy of Music in Dresden. He also worked as a pianist and organist with renowned choirs in Dresden including Dresden Chamber Choir, Singakademie Dresden and New Choir Dresden. Concerts have taken him to festivals in numerous European countries.
