DMBA changes policy regarding coverage for stepchildren

Effective immediately, employees are no longer required to have full or partial custody to cover a stepchild younger than 18 on DMBA medical insurance.

During June 2007, employees may enroll eligible stepchildren in their DMBA medical plan. Children added during June will have coverage effective July 1, 2007. If the children are not added during June, they will have to wait until Open Enrollment in October to be added and their coverage will not begin until January 2008.

Employees who have not been able to cover their stepchildren because of the previous policy should contact Benefits Services at ext. 2-4716 or DMBA at 1-800-777-3622 for assistance in enrolling stepchildren.
