Vernon L. Heperi, dean of students at Brigham Young University, will speak Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center for a campus devotional.

The topic of his devotional will be “Building a Kauri Tree-like Testimony.”
Heperi served as associate dean of students and director of Multicultural Student Services at BYU prior to his appointment as dean of students two years ago.
He first caught the vision of the BYU experience with his involvement in BYU student government and as a member of the Lamanite Generation (now Living Legends). His subsequent professional experiences have covered a broad range of student life areas at both Snow College and BYU.
Prior to joining the BYU Student Life division in 1996, Heperi was director of student affairs at Snow College, supervising student government, student activities and new student orientation.
An alumnus of the Church College in New Zealand, Heperi received a master's degree in psychology from Utah State University and a doctorate in education from BYU.
