My job at BYU is… ITI Database Coordinator. I assist the ITI Director, BYU-Idaho, BYU-Hawaii, LDS Business College and BYU Broadcasting IT assets and hardware.
Currently I’m working on… keeping the database current.
I’m currently re-reading… The Lincoln Hypothesis, by Timothy Ballard.
Serving in the Navy …changed the way I view… rights and freedoms. The particular job I had allowed me to care for and tend to people paying heavy prices, including the ultimate price, for the rights and freedoms we have in the United States. Our rights and freedoms are ours because of heartbreaking sacrifices.
When I have 30 minutes of free time, you can find me… watching Doctor Who or in a cemetery sketching.
The best-kept BYU secret is… the stairs by the Richards Building. Every year I hear freshman say, “No one told me about those stairs!” after they’ve climbed them and are trying to catch their breath.
I’ve been a BYU fan since…1984.
My favorite quote is… “Truly wonderful, the mind of a child is.” –Yoda
I’ve hiked Y Mountain... one time.
My favorite spot on campus is… the Musuem of Art. I appreciate the quiet creativity it encourages. It reminds me of the beauty all around us.
My go-to comfort food is… soup.
An experience that changed my life was when… I became a mother. I have four children and the first time I saw each of their faces, I knew my heart had always known them. It was when I became a mother [that] I understood what unconditional love meant, including the joy and the sorrow that comes with it.
My favorite Cougar athlete is… former football player Brett Keisel (he’s my husband’s cousin).
My most cherished memory at BYU was when… I graduated with my M.P.A.
