The Brigham Young University School of Music presents the Symphony Orchestra in concert Tuesday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.
The performance is free and the public is welcome to attend.
The 89-member Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Eric Hansen, will perform music by Copland, Handel, Richard Strauss, Bizet and Sibelius.
"All the music is very accessible to the average listener," Hansen said. "It should be familiar, because a lot of the pieces have been used in commercials."
Hansen said the music presents a spectrum of musical styles, including baroque, French and German romantic, Finnish music and a piece from the 20th century.
