BYU Symphonic Band plans concert Nov. 18

The Brigham Young University School of Music presents the Symphonic Band in concert Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

The 85-member band will perform both French and British music. The performance is free and the public is welcome to attend.

"The idea for the performance is that we're getting music from both sides of the [English] Channel," said conductor Don L. Peterson.

The concert will feature music by Kenneth Alford, David R. Gillingham, John Barnes Chance, Gordon Jacob, Malcolm Arnold, Camille Saint-Saens, Darius Milhaud and Norman Dello Joio.

For more information about the Symphonic Band or the performance, contact Don L. Peterson at 422-7275.
