BYU Preschool Summer Program accepting applications

The Brigham Young University Child and Family Studies Laboratory is now accepting applications for the preschool, pre-kindergarten and post-kindergarten sections of its 2003 summer school program.

The summer school session begins June 23 and concludes Aug. 7. Tuition for the seven-week summer session is $250. Applications are available in room M128 of B77 Service Building (the former UVSC building on Canyon Road west of Helaman Halls) or by calling (801) 378-3219.

Any child who turns four by Sept. 1 is eligible for the preschool program. Children who will be entering kindergarten in September 2003 are eligible for the pre-kindergarten program and those who will be entering first grade are eligible for the post-kindergarten program.

I love to see the temple… but I need a microscope

In honor of BYU’s 150th anniversary, electrical engineering professor Greg Nordin and student Callum Galloway have created 150 microscopic replicas of existing LDS temples, all on a 12-by-19 millimeter microchip. Each of these unique temples — 150 different floor plans to celebrate 150 years of BYU — is less than a grain of rice in length.
