Brigham Young University physical education associate professor Mark S. Clarke was recently honored for his devoted service to his profession and dedicated leadership with an Honor Award from the American Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
"It was a surprise and a great honor," Clarke said.
Clarke has served both BYU and BYU-Hawaii through the past 32 years in teaching and coordinating the elementary education physical education classes for the College of Health and Human Performance.
The American Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance is the largest organization of professionals supporting and assisting those involved in physical education, leisure, fitness, dance, health promotion and education and all specialties related to achieving a healthy lifestyle.
