Fun for All Ages
Christmas in Nauvoo
When: November 27, December 4 and December 11
Time: 7–9 p.m.
Location: Education in Zion Theater in the JFSB
Details: Guests have the opportunity to learn about what Christmastime was like for the early Saints. This program helps spread the Christmas spirit through caroling by the Christmas tree, traditional folk dancing, historical storytelling, festive crafts, and holiday treats. Participate in activity stations at your leisure. The Utah Valley Handbell Ensemble will preform at 7:30p on Nov. 27. The Christmas in Nauvoo program is a wonderful activity for college students, local families, and single adults. More info

BYU Planetarium: Star of Bethlehem

Location: Eyring Science Center, 4th Floor
Details: Come to BYU's Royden G. Derrick Planetarium and join the BYU Astronomical Society to learn about the astronomical events consistent with the Christmas star. Best for ages 8+ (it's a somewhat technical demonstration). More info

Sacred Sounds: A Compassionate Listening Guide to Musical Worship

Details: Sacred Sounds is an interfaith exhibition experience that explores the ways in which the Judaism, Christianity and Islam use sound in worship. The purpose of this exhibit is to inspire empathy and understanding between members of the three primary Abrahamic religions through the lens of devotional sounds. More info

BYU Jazz Ensemble Concert

Location: de Jong Concert Hall, HFAC
Details: The main attraction of the evening will be Duke Ellington’s arrangement of “The Nutcracker Suite.” The nine movements feature jazzy twists on the familiar Tchaikovsky score. Other selections will include holiday favorites like “The Christmas Song,” “Let It Snow!” and others. More info

Christmas Concert and Gallery Talk
