“For the Celebration of Christmas concert this year we are once again preparing and rehearsing a joyous celebration of the Savior’s birth, which we hope will bring some much needed cheer into the lives of both our performers and audiences,” said Rosalind Hall, director of the BYU Men’s Chorus. “Many people tell me that this concert, always held on the first weekend in December, has become an important part of their family’s holiday tradition.”
The concert features all of BYU’s auditioned choirs, along with the BYU Philharmonic and two faculty members from the School of Music. Faculty member Rob Brandt, baritone, and Ray Smith, saxophonist, will perform with the choirs and orchestra.
“I really cannot think of a better way to start the season,” said Hall. “We try to make it as festive as possible, but more importantly, we hope it will fill the hearts of all present with warmth, comfort and joy.”
