My job at BYU is… administration vice president and CFO. I oversee many of the campus support units, including Financial Services, Physical Facilities, Human Resources, Campus Police and Security, Purchasing and Travel and all campus auxiliary and retail units. Our team’s mission is to create an inspiring, welcoming, productive, and safe campus community to help BYU students thrive.
I get most excited about my work when… I witness academic and nonacademic teams collaborating to help strengthen and improve the overall student experience.
When I tell people I work for BYU, they often say… you are so lucky!
Students may not think I notice… them individually and recognize that each of them has their own unique story and massive potential.
My favorite part about teaching… as an adjunct instructor is giving the students real-world, real-time examples of theoretical concepts.
When I have 30 minutes of free time, you can find me… exercising.
My advice to incoming freshmen is… fully engage in the BYU experience — spiritual, academic and social.
I became a BYU fan when… I was born.
My go-to BYU Creamery ice cream flavor is… Graham Canyon.
My favorite spot on campus is… the WSC because it is always full of energized students.
I chose to come to BYU because... of its unique environment that stems from its double heritage and its being a place where we directly incorporate gospel methodology — learning by study and by faith.
My most cherished memory at BYU is… serving as a ball boy for Danny Ainge and the rest of the basketball team when I was 12 years old.
On Saturday mornings you’ll find me… on the lake boating with my family.
My go-to comfort food is… white chocolate.

I’m most looking forward to… my upcoming trip to African countries.
