My job at BYU is… a budget analyst in the university budget office. We are responsible for facilitating the annual university budgeting process and for ensuring compliance with budgetary policy. We support all faculty, staff and administrators who have interest in, or responsibility for, university financial resources.
I’m currently reading… April 2025 General Conference addresses.
I get most excited about my work when… I am able to learn and understand something new and then use it to help someone.
My go-to comfort food is… baked ripe paka (a banana from Samoa) in coconut milk.
My most cherished memory at BYU is… my first year as a student here. That’s when BYU became “the place of Mormon, the waters of Mormon, the forest of Mormon” (Mosiah 18:30) to me. BYU is beautiful to me, because it was here that I came to the knowledge of my Redeemer.
A daily habit that has changed my life is… reading the Book of Mormon.
My favorite spot on campus is… between the ASB and the HBLL, because while visiting Provo, I accompanied my sister on an errand to campus. As we walked toward the HBLL from the ASB, I received an unmistakable impression from the Spirit that I should transfer from the University of Hawai’i to BYU. Following that impression was a pivotal moment in my life.
My favorite quote is… always changing. I love the power of a truth concisely stated.
If I could travel anywhere, I would go [back] to... Hawai’i because… it’s Hawai’i.
