My job at BYU is… My job at BYU is in the McKay School of Education, where I was recently appointed associate dean. I am still learning the responsibilities of this new position, but for the past six years I have overseen student teaching and internship experiences while also teaching courses in classroom management, planning and assessment, and social studies methods for students preparing to become elementary school teachers.
My favorite part about teaching is… working with students.
When I have 30 minutes of free time, you can find me… browsing the New York Times’ Cooking App looking for new recipes to try out.
I’ve hiked Y Mountain… 0 times.
I chose to come to BYU because... I love being part of a place where the gospel of Jesus Christ is both openly expressed and deeply integrated into all that we do.
On Saturday mornings you’ll find me… doing yardwork.
My go-to comfort food is… chocolate.
Three things that are always found in my refrigerator are… cheese, apples and yogurt.
If I could travel anywhere, I would go to... Germany because I have family that live there.
My fondest memories from my childhood are when… I would go boating with my family.
