My job at BYU is… a professor of business management. I teach classes about designing and leading effective organizations.
I’m currently working on… several projects related to how leaders can navigate episodes when they feel like impostors.
I get most excited about my work when… I see a student gain new insight or confidence in themselves.
My favorite part about teaching is… developing lifelong relationships with students.
My favorite lecture to teach is… my last lecture about designing your life to experience happiness each day.
My advice to incoming freshmen is… be the author of your BYU experience.
My advice to graduating seniors is… always stay close to the Savior.
I became a BYU fan when… I was born into the Bednar family.
My favorite BYU tradition is… cheering for the students as they pass the faculty to enter commencement because it reminds me of why I love my job.
On Saturday mornings you’ll find me… with my kids on the ski slopes in the winter or on the lake in the summer.
One item on my bucket list is… skiing in New Zealand’s Southern Alps.
