My job at BYU is… to oversee the legal, compliance, risk management and security operations of our university.
Currently, I'm reading... "Love Your Enemies" by Arthur C. Brooks.
I get most excited about my work... when I'm deep in the statutes and caselaw of a legal argument. I also get excited when I work with our students and our campus community.
On Saturday mornings you'll find me... skiing at Sundance or on a long run in Provo Canyon.
You'll never find me without... a book to read and a pen to mark it up.
When I tell people I work for BYU, they often say... "Why does BYU need lawyers?"
My advice to incoming freshmen is... take classes outside of your comfort zone because you never know what interests those classes will spark, and you will refer back to what you learned in those classes later on in life.
