My job at BYU is... sharing the wonder of the universe, teaching physics and science.
I’m currently working on... improving my mathematical physics courses and researching fundamental life processes in bacteria.
I’m currently reading... "The Warmth of Other Suns," "Life’s Ratchet," "The Machinery of Life," "Light From Many Lamps," "Play It Again," "Harry Potter (#7)," "Tillerman Cycle (#5)" and others. Yeah, it’s mental…
I get most excited about my work when... a PS100 student begins to like science or when a physics/astronomy student has an “aha” moment with the math I’m teaching.
My favorite part about teaching is... learning with my students.
When I have 30 minutes of free time, you can find me… playing or practicing classical guitar.
The best-kept BYU secret is... the noon handball crowd. Come join us! Beginners welcome!
My go-to BYU Creamery ice cream flavor is... Roasted Almond Fudge, but Graham Canyon is a strong second.
You’ll never find me without... something to read or something to write on.
