My job at BYU is… to teach business ethics and do research on leadership and positive psychology.
I’m currently working on… a project at West Point exploring the relevance and effectiveness of humility in leading special operations and combat missions.
I’m currently reading… a biography of Elon Musk by Ashlee Vance, "Approaching Zion" by Hugh Nibley, and "The Wright Brothers" by David McCullough.
My favorite part about teaching is… being inspired to be a better person because of the goodness and light of the students and helping them believe in their potential to lift, love, and inspire others in a Christlike way throughout their careers and lives.
My advice to incoming freshmen is… practice self-care, every moment you spend making time for the Lord will be magnified to your benefit, learn about Covey’s First Things First principle and deliberately spend as much time as you can in Quadrant II.
I became a BYU fan when… I saw Detmer throw for 406 yards in upsetting #1 Miami in 1990.
My go-to BYU Creamery ice cream flavor is… all of them : )
My favorite Cougar athlete is… The Jimmer.
I chose to come to BYU because... I love this place! I love its mission and the feeling of the campus.
My most cherished memory at BYU is… proposing to my wife in the Skyroom.
Three things that are always found in my refrigerator are… almond butter, cheese sticks and Greek yogurt.
