My job at BYU is… portfolio director, artificial intelligence with the Office of Information Technology. I work with campus departments and programs to understand their use cases of AI and am the bridge to the office of information technology to help support their needs.
I’m currently working on… AI listening sessions with campus, AI Committee, and partnering with campus leadership to help define BYU's roadmap for artificial intelligence.
I get most excited about my work when… I am working with students. I love to mentor and help students cause I was once one of them, and if something I experienced can help them get ahead, why not?
When I have 30 minutes of free time, you can find me… walking around campus to get out and appreciate the beauty of our campus.
My advice to incoming freshmen is… embrace all the experiences and opportunities BYU has to offer. Get out of your comfort zone and connect with people.
My advice to graduating seniors is… know that each day is a gift to start anew. Show yourself grace and know God’s got you!
My go-to BYU Creamery ice cream flavor is… Cookies n Cream.
My favorite spot on campus is… the Museum of Art because they showcase Jesus Christ in various art forms.
My go-to comfort food is… pizza and ice cream.
A daily habit that has changed my life is… breathwork. Breathe is LIFE!
Three things that are always found in my refrigerator are…ketchup, mayo and eggs
You’ll never find me without… my phone, I need to be available.
The title of my autobiography would be… "Exercise Faith."
My favorite quote is… a closed mouth does not get fed. Growing up I was described as bashful and that saying would help me professionally to speak up.
One item on my bucket list is… travel to as many international countries as I can.
If I could travel anywhere, I would go to.... South Korea because that’s where my daughter served her mission.
My fondest memory from my childhood is… anytime with my mother.
