Natalie Ipson

Natalie leads BYU’s digital communications strategy and shares BYU stories in innovative ways through digital media. She is the publisher of top-level sites such as BYU.edu and news.byu.edu, and chairs the BYU social media committee.

Natalie earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in mass communication from BYU.  As a student, she took first place in reporting at the Hearst National Journalism Championship. Prior to returning to BYU, Natalie worked as a reporter and anchor at KFOX14 in El Paso, Texas where she earned a Gracie award for investigative reporting.  

Natalie joined University Communications in 2015. She is inspired daily by the meaningful work of students, faculty and staff who "enter to learn and go forth to serve."
