Worldfest at BYU Nov. 14-17 celebrates International Education Week

International Services at Brigham Young University will host “World Fest,” a celebration of international cultures and people, beginning at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 14 in the Garden Court in the Wilkinson Student Center and continuing through Friday, Nov. 17, in celebration of International Education Week.

Students, faculty and community members are invited to participate in the annual celebration, which will include daily performances at noon, and 40 cultural booths in the WSC Garden Court from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A banquet and fashion show will be held on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the WSC Ballroom. Tickets may be purchased through Nov. 14 at the WSC Information Desk.

Friday night’s “Food Fest” will allow visitors to try authentic dishes such as Indian kashmir and rice, Brazilian feijoada and English trifle. This event will be held at 5 p.m. in the WSC Garden Court. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

“Food Fest” will be followed by a cultural talent showcase at 7 p.m. and a Latin dance presented by Salsa Brava at 9 p.m.
