World Family Policy Center sponsors student art contest

Deadline is Monday, May 2

The World Family Policy Center at Brigham Young University is sponsoring a student art contest. The deadline for submissions is Monday, May 2.

The contest is being conducted in conjunction with the 6th annual World Family Policy Forum to be held July 11-13 at the J. Reuben Clark Law School.

All artwork should reflect the theme of this year's forum, "Building on Doha: Marriage and Parenting in the Third Millennium," or have a family theme within a general or international context.

Any medium will be accepted. Students should submit a slide or 4x6 photo of their original artwork along with their name, major, expected graduation date, email address and phone number to Emily Parks, 515 J. Reuben Clark Law School.

Finalists will be asked to bring in original artwork for review by the World Family Policy Center committee.

The first-place winner will receive a $300 prize and his or her artwork will be used on posters, binders and displays for the conference. Prints will be made, framed and given to VIP guest as gifts.

The winner should be available to attend the forum's dinner at the BYU Museum of Art on Tuesday, July 12, to present his or her artwork.

Second- and third-place winners will receive a $200 and $100 prize respectively. First, second, third and honorable mentions will receive certificates and their artwork will be displayed during the three-day conference.
