Brigham Young University School of Music faculty member Monte Belknap and friends will give a recital Friday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Belknap will be featured playing the violin. Friends and colleagues Barbara Allen, piano, and Laurence Lowe, French horn, will perform with Belknap.
They will present pieces by Igor Stravinsky, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Pablo de Sarasate and Johannes Brahms.
Belknap is the director of violin studies in the School of Music. He has served as concertmaster of the Knox-Galesburg Symphony and the Illinois Symphony and Chamber Orchestras.
