Vanderbilt chancellor Gordon Gee at BYU forum March 28

Gordon Gee, chancellor of Vanderbilt University, will speak Tuesday, March 28, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center for a Brigham Young University campus forum.

Live broadcasts will be available on KBYU-TV (Channel 11), BYU-Television, KBYU-FM (89.1), BYU-Radio and byubroadcasting.org, as well as on campus in the Joseph Smith Building Auditorium and the Varsity Theater in the Wilkinson Student Center. An experienced chief executive in higher education, Gee previously served as president of Brown University, The Ohio State University, the University of Colorado and West Virginia University. Gee also served as associate dean at BYU's J. Reuben Clark Law School.

A University of Utah alumnus, Gee received a joint degree in law and education from Columbia University and then served as an assistant dean for the University of Utah College of Law after completing a federal judicial clerkship. He also served as a judicial fellow and senior staff assistant for U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger.

He has co-authored six books and authored several papers and articles relating to both law and education. He as also received several awards and honors including the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Utah.
