U.S.-European relations topic of BYU lecture March 16

David M. Andrews, an associate professor of politics and international relations and director of the European Union Center of California at Scripps College, will present "Is the Atlantic Alliance Dead? U.S.-European Relations in the George W. Bush Era" on Wednesday, March 16, at 3 p.m. in 238 Herald R. Clark Building at Brigham Young university.

His lecture is part of the Transatlantic Lecture Series sponsored by BYU's Center for the Study of Europe.

Andrews' research interests are Atlantic political, security and economic relations; economic statecraft, international monetary relations and international economic governance; and European integration, especially European monetary integration.

He has won awards for outstanding teaching and for outstanding research at Scripps. In addition to his appointment at Scripps, he is an adjunct professor in the School of Politics and Economics at Claremont Graduate University.
