United Way Day of Caring Sept. 7 to enlist BYU employees

United Way of Utah County is sponsoring a Day of Caring for all full-time employees on Thursday, Sept. 7. The half-day of service projects will include painting, landscaping, general maintenance and cleaning.

The day will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a complimentary breakfast at the south end zone of the LaVell Edwards Stadium served by community and University leaders.

The breakfast will be followed by service projects until noon. Participants are encouraged to dress to accommodate outdoor work.

President Cecil O. Samuelson has approved four paid service hours for full-time employees who clear Day of Caring attendance with their immediate supervisors and registers.

After clearing these hours, please RSVP to BYU’s United Way coordinator, Phyllis Jensen, at phyllis_jensen@byu.edu or to your area’s United Way representative before Sept. 1.
