The annual Passover Seder services at Brigham Young University will be held March 26 and April 1, 8, 9, 15, and 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. in 3228 Wilkinson Student Center.

Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Feb. 15, in 271 Joseph Smith Building at $25 for the public and $17 for current BYU students, faculty and staff. Call the Passover hotline at (801) 422-8325 or Patty Smith at (801) 422-3611 for more information.

The Passover, a Jewish celebration commemorating the deliverance of Israel from Egypt, has been celebrated for millenia.

Victor L. Ludlow, professor of ancient scripture at BYU and specialist in Jewish studies, will conduct the services. The unleavened bread, bitter herbs and other traditions of Passover will be included in the service, along with a special catered meal and commentary by Ludlow.

In addition to the services, a Passover Seder service workshop is being offered by Ludlow on Saturday, March 12, at 10 a.m. in 3228 WSC.

The workshop will provide ideas and suggestions for individuals interested in learning more about or conducting Passover Seder services on their own. Tickets for the workshop go on sale Feb. 15 in 271 Joseph Smith Building for $10 and will include a luncheon.
