Susan W. Tanner to speak at CES Fireside Sept. 11

Susan W. Tanner, Young Women general president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will speak at a Church Educational System fireside Sunday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. in the Marriott Center at Brigham Young University.

The fireside will be broadcast live on the BYU-Television and BYU-Radio satellite networks and at byubroadcasting.org. Rebroadcast information is available by visiting www.byubroadcasting.org.

Prior to her call as Young Women general president in 2002, Sister Tanner served on the Relief Society general board for the Church. She is a former president and counselor in all of the women’s auxiliaries, on both ward and stake levels, and has also been a curriculum writer for the Primary organization.

A BYU graduate in humanities, Sister Tanner is married to John S. Tanner, BYU’s Academic Vice President.
