Security director for LDS Church to speak at BYU Nov. 3

J. Gregory Dunn, managing director of security for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will present "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go: Managing Security Risks Worldwide" at a Global Focus Series lecture Wednesday, Nov. 3, at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building on campus.

Dunn oversees global security for the Church with more than 25 years of experience in security risk management, major criminal investigations, forensic audits and security program design.

As a certified public accountant, Dunn is also a former special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Before assuming his current position, Dunn served as the deputy head of security for British Petroleum, where he managed global security operations in the Western Hemisphere and Asia Pacific. While working with British Petroleum, he managed the fraud deterrence program.

Dunn received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from BYU in 1978 and is certified as a fraud examiner and as a protection professional with the American Society of Industrial Security.
