School of Family Life's Jonathan Sandberg next BYU devotional speaker Jan. 21

Jonathan Sandberg of the College of Family, Home and Social Sciences faculty at Brigham Young University will be the next speaker at the campus devotional Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byutv.org. Rebroadcast information can be found through byutv.org/schedule. Archived devotionals are available at speeches.byu.edu.

Sandberg is a professor in the School of Family Life where his primary teaching responsibility is training marriage and family therapy graduate students. Prior to joining BYU he taught at Syracuse University for 10 years in a similar department.

His research focuses on the relationship between marital dynamics and emotional/physical health. He particularly enjoys working with graduate students as they try to identify which in-session interactions influence marital and physical health.

Sandberg holds a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from BYU and a doctorate in marriage and family therapy from Kansas State University.
