"Religion, Mental Health and the Latter-day Saints" is BYU forum topic July 18

Daniel K Judd, Brigham Young University professor of ancient scripture and first counselor in the Sunday School General Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will be the forum speaker Tuesday, July 18, at 11:05 a.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Live broadcasts will be available on KBYU-TV (Channel 11), BYU Television, KBYU-FM (89.1), BYU Radio and byubroadcasting.org, as well as on campus in the Joseph Smith Building Auditorium, F-201 Harris Fine Arts Center and the Varsity Theater in the Wilkinson Student Center. Judd will speak on "Religion, Mental Health and the Latter-day Saints."

In 1980, Judd received undergraduate degrees in zoology and chemistry from Southern Utah University. Later he earned a master's degree in family science and a doctoral degree in counseling psychology at BYU.

Judd has served as chair of the Department of Ancient Scripture. He is also the author and editor of several books and articles in the fields of religion, marriage and family relationships and psychology.

He also serves as first counselor in the Sunday School General Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
