Raylene Hadley named associate dean at BYU

Ford Stevenson, dean of Student Academic and Advisement Services at Brigham Young University, has appointed Raylene Hadley as the new associate dean of planning and support for the division of Student Academic and Support Services.

“It has been my pleasure to have worked with Raylene for well over two decades,” said Stevenson. “She is without a doubt the most sensitive administrator to the needs of students that I have encountered during my time at the university. She has made many contributions to the university, and we are excited for her to assume her new role as associate dean.”

Hadley, who was a high school counselor before coming to BYU in 1982 as an admissions counselor, received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Southeastern Massachusetts University. She later earned a master’s degree in educational psychology from BYU, where she is a doctoral candidate in educational leadership and foundations.

She has also been associate director of Admissions and director of both Admissions and Academic Advisement at BYU, and most recently served as director of Advisement Support before accepting her new assignment as associate dean.
