Public health professor Len Novilla to give Feb. 1 BYU devotional

M. Lelinneth L. B. "Len" Novilla, an associate professor in the Department of Health Science, will be speaking on “Journey of the Soul, Anchors of the Heart: Coming unto Christ” at the Brigham Young University devotional Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byub.org. Rebroadcast and archive information will be available at byub.org/devotionals or speeches.byu.edu.

Prior to joining BYU, Novilla served as a senior research manager for the Thrasher Research Fund and was involved in managing several international and U.S.-based pediatric research grants. She completed her medical degree at the University of the City of Manila in the Philippines and her master of public health degree at the University of Utah.

She serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Timpanogos Regional Hospital and has reviewed anti-tobacco grants for the Utah State Health Department.

Both Len Novilla and her husband Nathan are converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having been taught and baptized by the missionaries serving in the Philippines.
